Error Reporting is (sometimes) a useful Joomla function to troubleshoot PHP errors on your Joomla site regarding Extensions and Templates. This function provides some clues about what and where the PHP problems are.
But error reporting is not always useful, in many cases it makes more sense to disable them. Here's how this works in Joomla:
1.Log into your Joomla Dashboard as always (your-domain.com/administrator)
2.Navigate in the Joomla Backend to:SystemGlobal Configuration
3.In the tabbed menu on top, click the Server tab
4.Find the Error Reporting setting under the Server Settings heading. Change the value as needed, for example none, and then click the Save button in the top left of the page.
